SQL Developer - NHS

Excellent knowledge of SQL and HEALTHCARE systems and data essential.

MUST HAVE GOOD EXPERIENCE OF NHS DATA - PREFERABLY 3+ YEARS

Good implementation and investigation skills.

6 month contract starting mid to late November.

Hands on Data writing SQL code using the company's tools to map data. Good knowledge of modern software development methodologies eg AGILE, SCRUM

Provide implementation and project management services to support the deployment of data management and migration projects.

The role requires a detailed understanding of the full life cycle of a data management project from analysis and development through to implementation and into maintenance, combined with the importance of testing and quality control throughout that process.

Main Responsibilities

- Analysis and development of data mapping specifications from existing systems.
- Definition, execution and audit of quality and testing standards for product development and deployment including:

o Producing test plans and scripts as required
o Carrying out end-to-end testing and validation of healthcare data flows and processing from source system to finished reports
o Ensuring testing Is completed to time and budget as required

- Development of documentation to support the data management products and new releases
- Development and execution of project plans for deployment projects
- Provide advice and guidance to other project team members as required
- Ensure that all defined quality procedures are followed throughout the life cycle of the project

The software may be a complete solution in itself, or it may be a component of a larger solution.

Good understanding and use of all Microsoft Office products.

Strong technical SQL skills and knowledge of healthcare data eg referrals, care episodes, RTT etc.
