SQL DBA, SSIS, SSRS, Banking, Contract, London, c£500 per day

Microsoft SQL DBA, SSIS, SSRS. Experienced Microsoft SQL DBA to join a strong DBA team for a City based bank to provide production and database administration support. Carrying out SQL Backup, Disaster Recovery, high availability/contingency solutions.

Key areas of the role include: SQL Reporting and SQL Integration services and SQL Replication.

Other key aspects include SQL script development to perform a variety of administration functions including: data loads and email notifications.

You will be working with one other SQL DBA administrator and in addition to BAU duties will be expected to provide consultancy to development teams throughout the full development life cycle advising on coding and performance issues.

Key Skills

- Very experienced Microsoft SQL DBA skills essential.
- Very strong experience within administration/production support.
- Release and incident management experience is essential.
- Experience using SQL 2005/2008 and 2008R2 is required.

Desirable Skills

- Experience working within a banking environment would be preferred but not essential.
- Microsoft Certified DBA (MCDBA) would be preferred but not essential.

The Role

- Initial 3 month contract.
- Working in a small team along three other DBAs (Oracle and Microsoft SQL).
- Performing a variety of production and administration functions and involvement with any projects.
- Provide consultancy to development teams throughout the development life cycle advising on various issues including coding and performance.
