SQL DBA - SC Security Cleared - S Wales - 450- 490 pd

SQL DBA SQL Database Administrator with current SC Security Clearance required for a Government/Public Sector organisation based in South Wales.

Experience required includes:- experience of running SQL Server in a Virtual Environment, experience of Red-Gate toolset (SQL Backup, SQL Compare), administration of SQL Server 2000 and experience of Windows 2008/2012 Systems Administration.

Duties will include:- monitor SQL Server instances and ensure the availability and performance of business databases, implement and release database changes in co-operation with developers and users, provide technical advice on all aspects of SQL Server to management, developers and users, design and implement SQL Server databases as required, strong understanding of using SQL Server 2008/2012 including the creation of functions, stored procedures, SSIS Packages, SSRS and high available technologies.

The role will be based in South Wales and run for 3 months initially. Candidates must be currently Security Cleared to SC level to be considered for this role.

The daily rate will be circa 450 to 490.
