SQL Database Developer

SQL DATABASE DEVELOPER - 400 PER DAY

Our client a recognised international financial company based in Belfast is seeking a Database Developer to work with them on a contracted basis for an initial 3-month contract.

The successful candidate will need excellent development and analytical skills and the ability to quickly learn and deliver quality software using a pragmatic approach. They will need drive and commitment to co-ordinate work effort to achieve required project objectives.

Knowledge/Experience:

* Excellent relational database development experience, especially ETL on SQL Server 2008 R2.
* Extensive knowledge of SQL Server and its internal workings.

Skills:

* Databases: Implicit understanding of how to construct databases and queries using all of the tools available in SQL Server: Stored Procedures, Functions, Views etc
* SQL: Excellent T-SQL knowledge with proven ability to write T-SQL code that performs optimally and is easy to maintain.
* DB Development

SSIS and BIDS, Visual Studio Database Projects, Team Foundation Server. Query Optimisation and Database Performance Tuning.

* Other Development

C# 3.5, WPF, WCF, WWF, Winforms
VBA knowledge with Excel development
Test driven development
Continuous integrationscripting toolkits

* Other (useful to have some of the following):
* other technologies: e.g. C++, Java, HTML,
* Middle tier skills (web services COM+ .net remoting)
* Experience in Multi-threaded environments
