SQL Database Developer

SQL Database Developer (SQL 2008, T-SQL) required for an International Asset Management Firm based inCentral Boston.

The role will involve the design, development of new databases that will offer innovative solutions to the firms various investment teams for trading and portfolio management services. Tasks will also include performance tuning and supporting existing applications with heavy usage of T-SQL.

The role is best suited for someone with business facing experience as the individual will be gathering requirements from analysts and portfolio managers as well as working closely with other areas of IT.

Experience of working in large scale environments is very useful due to the volume of data the client use's (Terabytes) and the challenges that this environment brings.

Key Requirement/ Skills:

Database analysis, development in MS SQL Server (ideally 2008)

SQL and T-SQL for MS SQL Server development

Triggers, Stored procedures, Functions, Triggers, Joins etc

Database modelling

Good Degree

Excellent Communication Skills

Desirable:

Financial Exposure

C#.Net
