SQL Database Developer

Our client is a HIGH-VISIBILITY SOFTWARE BRAND looking for an EXPERIENCED SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER who is skilled at developing best-in-class databases using the LATEST SQL TECHNOLOGIES. The team is chartered to lead innovations in experiences that have a huge potential to make learning more engaging for millions of people who want to learn about widely used software products. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Be the subject matter expert in designing, building and managing relational databases
- Create quick prototypes and follow up with production-grade, performant databases
- Execute high-quality features in a timely fashion
- Participate in design and code reviews - help maintain high bug bar for database design and implementation across the team
- Work effectively across the team to bring up the level of expertise in SQL technologies

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of proven experience in designing, developing and shipping production quality web based user experiences
- Proven record of managing high volume transactional services on the Internet and a strong background involved in developing software products and services
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft SQL (SSRS, SSIS, T-SQL etc.), SQL Azure, and ADO.NET entity frameworks
- Passion for building scalable, well-designed data models that power large-scale services
- Strong coding and design fundamentals
- Knowledge in C#,.NET, and SharePoint a big plus

This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration with possibility of extension.
