A reputable Financial Services organisation are looking to recruit a SQL Database Developer for their operations in Bexhill, near Hastings in Sussex.

Are you an experienced SQL Database Developer looking to join a large and growing Financial Services organisation? Do you have a strong background in developing SSIS, SSRS and SSAS?

THE ROLE: This role as a SQL Database Developer is responsible for designing, developing and supporting SQL data applications. Duties will include the development and support of stored procedures, ETL processes, Datamodelling, and data interfaces.

THE CANDIDATE: For this role as a SQL Database Developer, candidates will ideally have a solid background working with the Microsoft Business Intelligence ( MSBI ) stack and SQL Server databases. In particular, this role requires candidates with a solid understanding and experience of SSIS that are confident in doing ETL processes, as well as good skills with SSRS and SSAS. Candidates will be a 'good all rounder' with SQL. Candidates who may also have experience of working on Front End applications with C# will also be beneficial for this role to help provide guidance to other wider team members, although an not essential skill set. Again, candidates with experience working with Business Objects or Cognos reporting tools will be beneficial but not essential. Candidates will need to be good communicators, team players and able to act as a senior SQL Database developer for the team. Candidates will naturally eager to expand on their current skill set and learn more about Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. This role, with time, will allow for the successful candidate to gradually progress more into data warehousing.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

For this role as a SQL Database Developer, candidates will need the following experience and technical skills:
- Previous SQL Database Design and Development experience
- SQL Server database design and development
- SQL Server 2008
- SSIS/ETL - essential
- SSAS - desirable
- SSRS - desirable
- other reporting tools experience will be considered, for example Business Objects or Cognos.
- TSQL
- Datamodelling
- Data Warehousing experience
- Great communication skills
- Team player
