SQL Database Administrator - Contract

This role requires an experienced and dynamic Database Administrator to work in a project and support capacity in the heart of Singapore. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist in project requirements and support (Level 1-2) of regional SQL databases
- Work closely with various global application and infrastructure teams
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting for database systems with emphasis on root cause analysis
- Participate in design and application review sessions, assist with definition of computing standards and recommend policies related to those standards
- Configure and tune hardware and software to ensure optimum performance and resource utilization

REQUIREMENTS:

- 7+ years of SQL DBA experience including troubleshooting and performance tuning in a clustered environment
- A proven record of working within the financial services industry
- Experience with SAN Disaster Recovery
- Experienced in Reporting Services and Analytical Services
- Experienced in SSIS
- Extensive MSSQL RBDMS skills
- Installation, management and production support of SQL Databases (2000-2008)
- Additional knowledge of Sybase and/or Oracle technologies would be well regarded
