SQL Database Administrator

We are seeking a SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR to provide essential 2nd/3rd level SQL Database Administration support services to ensure business continuity of ICT services. In particular provide support for the EDRMS and PeopleSoft system and associated infrastructure.

THE ROLE REQUIRES THE CANDIDATE TO HAVE:

- Extensive production experience and knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database administration, database design and performance tuning.
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Data Transformation Services.
- Experience and understanding of information systems with respect to Microsoft operating systems and products, in relation to the operation of a SQL Server database environment.
- Experience in developing Database Reports.
- Experience in developing/maintaining MSM environments (or other ITSM toolsets).
- Experience in developing/maintaining MS Enterprise Project Management Servers (or other MS Sharepoint applications).
- Initiative in analysing and solving problems.
- Strong knowledge of the MS Office XP/W7 suite, Windows Server 2003/2008 and Lotus Notes.
- User documentation writing skills.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE:

- at least five years' production Database Administration work experience (Mandatory)
- Experience with TRIM and/or PeopleSoft (Desirable)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Desirable)
- Certification in ITIL Foundations (Highly Desirable) or evidence of attendance of formal ITIL training

The contract is scheduled to commence APRIL 2013 UNTIL 31 MARCH 2014. You must be an Australian citizen and have a current Clearance of TSNV2 or ability to obtain.
