An exciting opportunity for a SQL Database Administrator to work for a leading brand, this is an initial 5 month contact opportunity based in Dublin, Ireland to start immediately. The day rate offered is €215.
As a SQL Database Administrator you will be responsible for the administration of the SQL Server, from server configuration to server maintenance. Your responsibilities will be the following:
*Installation of the SQL Server;
*Involved in the server design (Storage/Memory/NIC);
*Disaster recovery strategies;
*Log shipping;
*Troubleshooting (Performance/Server Down/Connectivity/Misconfiguration/Blocking/Deadlocking/Data corruption).
The technical skills required as a SQL Database Administrator:
Extensive SQL experience;
Strong database administration experience;
Understanding of T-SQL language;
Working knowledge of PowerShell;
Demonstrable knowledge of Windows 2008 R2 features.
