SQL BI Developer

Projektbeschreibung
My client a leading Irish owned business have 2 excellent opportunities for an ETL & SSRS Developer to join their team on an initial 4 month contract working. The first 2 months of this contract will be based in Dublin with the remainder of the contract being based in Cork, with the potential for the contract to run beyond 4 months.
ETL Role:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement the ETL architecture based upon MS SQLServer 2008R2/2012.
- Participate in the full life cycle of ETL software development - analysis, design, build, documentation and testing.
- Collaborate with project managers, analysts, technical leads, business partners and developers throughout the SDLC.
- Develop technical designs and build jobs, mappings, Shell Scripts, stored procedures, clearly documenting the process.
- Create and execute unit tests on all solutions, working with QA team to ensure product and integrations tests are complete.
- Work with the release manager, support team and technical writers to ensure solutions are well tested, production ready and well documented
- Work with the both project and support teams to understand existing systems and to help troubleshoot, optimize, migrate and tune ETL processes as needed
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 4+ years development and data modelling, with strong SQL skills.
- Defining and implementing ETL architectures on at least 2 projects
- Extracting data from multiple source system platforms including Oracle and hierarchical Mainframe systems.
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
SSRS Role:
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the full life cycle of Microsoft BI development - analysis, design, build, documentation and testing.
- Provide support and maintenance for MS SQL Server 2008R2/2012 architecture including IIS, Active Directory security infrastructure, deployment of Sharepoint and Dashboards reporting capability into Production, space management, backup and recovery.
- Test and promotion of new SQL Server features and functions.
- Collaborate with project managers, analysts, technical leads, business partners and developers throughout the SDLC.
- Work with the release manager, support team and technical writers to ensure solutions are well tested, production ready and well documented
- Document best practice development standards and help transfer knowledge to the development and support teams.
Skills required:
- 6+ years working experience in installation, configuration and administration of MS SQL Server Product environments.
- Familiarity with a Reporting Services, SSAS and SSIS environment would be desirable
- 4+ Years working experience in Windows Scripting
