We are recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a very well-established Engineering company in Poole, Dorset. The Quality Engineer will manage supplier compliance and report quality performance. They will take appropriate actions to resolve deviations from the specification quality in a timely, compliant and cost effective manner. Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer: * Conduct supplier visits to: * Monitor quality performance * Inspect and release goods for shipment as per quality plan requirements * Expedite goods to ensure client delivery plans are fulfilled in liaison with the expeditor * Review supplier inspection documents and quality plan documents. Ensure actions are taken to resolve shortfall * Compile supplier quality performance statistics (including KPI's) for periodic reporting * Collaborate with other departments as necessary to achieve relevant product specification, budget, schedule and quality compliance standards * Maintain up to date knowledge of inspection and code requirements * Work closely with the expeditor to ensure sub contract project elements are delivered The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of material compliance (raw state to forming / cutting / fabrication) to fulfil ASME requirements, plus working knowledge of ASME welding related documents / drawings and quality plan requirements. You will have experience of compliance, procurement and manufacturing best practice; be someone who understands/adheres to compliance specification requirements and achievement of on time delivery. The successful Quality Engineer will be a good communicator and have working knowledge of Microsoft products.
