On behalf of our client, one of the most prestigious financial institutions, we are looking for a SPLUNK SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR. For this position based in Zürich, our client is looking for an English-speaking candidate, who is available as soon as possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Analyze requirements and design technical solutions based on those requirements, for the Splunk Global Log Management platform
- Create test plans based on requirements
- Work with architects, engineers, and business analysts to ensure proposed technical solutions are compatible within the Credit Suisse environment
- Develop configuration code and scripts as necessary for integration with other components, to fill gaps in the solutions or to automate manual tasks
- Build and test solutions in a pre-production environment
- Document test results, designs, and operational manuals for the solutions
- Provide third-level support to Production operations teams as necessary

ESSENTIALS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

+5 years of hands-on experience and excellent skills in:

- Splunk system administration and engineering, particularly search head clustering
- ETL process and data processing
- Configuration management
- Automation (systems management, monitoring and testing)
- Programming experience (Python, JavaScript)
- User-facing process design and documentation

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Load balancing technologies (eg. HAProxy, NGINX)
- Container Technologies (eg. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of software development methodologies and life cycle
- Working experience as a member of a Scrum team
