Long term contract in Zürich

We are currently looking for a Splunk Support Engineer to join our client in Zürich for a very interesting long term project. For this contract position our client is looking for an English speaking candidate to join them as soon as possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain Splunk infrastructure and configuration
- Undertake day-to-day operational/user support
- Execute data/user on-boarding
- Staff L3 helpdesk for Splunk system related assistance
- Provide expert Splunk knowledge/development/engineering skills for the new Splunk logging solution.
- Primary focus engineering of Splunk solution based on business requirements
- Providing day-to-day engineering, testing, technical documentation and deployment packages for the new Splunk solution.
- Assist in the migration of existing SEGWay to the new Splunk solution
- You and the team will be required to support between 4 different timezones (APAC, EMEA, CH, US).

Required Skills:

- Previous experience within Banking/Financial/Securities/Insurance sector
- Should have 4-5 years' experience of working on Splunk environment or similar with an overall IT experience off 10-12 years
- In-depth knowledge of Unix and r-syslog
- Beneficial will be a Splunk Certification

Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)
- Good documentation skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Including MS Project and Visio)
- Should have a great customer handling/business interaction skills
- Able to handle unforeseen situations
