For our client in Zurich we are looking for an experienced Splunk Support Engineer - contract duration: 1 Year

Role Description:

The CH SECURE ZONE L3 SPLUNK SUPPORT ENGINEER will provide engineering and technical support for all green and secure zones for the new Logging platform.

Responsibilities include providing L3 support to other L3 and L2 on the future ELM infrastructure. The resource is expected to have in-depth knowledge in Unix, r-syslog and Splunk.

Essentially he/she will be Unix and Splunk L3 Support Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain Splunk infrastructure and configuration
- Undertake day-to-day operational/user support
- Execute data/user on-boarding
- Staff L3 helpdesk for Splunk system related assistance
- Provide expert Splunk knowledge/development/engineering skills for the new Splunk logging solution.
- Primary focus engineering of Splunk solution based on business requirements
- Providing day-to-day engineering, testing, technical documentation and deployment packages for the new Splunk solution.
- Assist in the migration of existing SEGWay to the new Splunk solution
- Location is required to support between 4 different timezones (APAC, EMEA, CH, US).

LOCATION JUSTIFICATION: Access/jurisdictional restrictions. New Splunk solution will contain CID/Sensitive data and engineer is required to be in the Swiss network.

SKILLS:

- Must have experience in BFSI organizations (Banking/Finance/Securities/Insurance)
- Must have performed the role of SPLUNK L3 SUPPORT ENGINEER for the last 4-5 years with an overall experience in IT for at least 12 years
- Must have worked with at least 4-5 years on Splunk or similar environment
- Must have at-least 6-7 years of in-depth experience and knowledge Unix and r-syslog
- Splunk Certified (applicable for L3 Support)
- Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)
- Good documentation skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Including MS Project and Visio)
- Should have a great customer handling/business interaction skills
- Able to handle unforeseen situations
