Specialist Registrar in Ophthalmology - South East - 3 Month Position

AWARD WINNING AGENCY Medilink Consulting are currently recruiting on behalf of a Large NHS Trust in the South East for a Specialist Registrar in Ophthalmology.

Hourly Rate: £55 - £60 per hour

Job Title: Specialist Registrar in Ophthalmology

Hours: Weekday clinics - possible on calls

Duties: This post is to support our specialist, general and casualty workload. The post will include the continuing care of emergency patients including ward work as necessary. The department provides a wide range of ophthalmic services including intravitreal treatments for macular degeneration, vitreo-retinal surgery, services for medical retina including uveitis, lacrimal surgery, glaucoma, cornea, paediatrics, adult motility, thyroid orbitopathy, oculoplastics and of course cataract surgery .

There are nurses in the department trained to do glaucoma clinics, perform botox injections, treat lid cysts and perform electrolysis, give intravitreal therapies and provide a local anaesthetic service for cataract surgery.

Job Requirements: Full GMC with a license to practice, some UK experience and eligibility to work in the UK.
