A rare opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK's largest generator hire company in an international capacity. Having established a firm grip on the UK market, my client is seeking to expand into the EMEA regions, especially through Spain, Africa and Italy.

The role will give you autonomy to develop the European side of the business as you see fit. This is a home-based role in the UK, with extensive amounts of international travel involved. You will report into the Managing Director based in the UK.

This fantastic career opportunity has an excellent basic salary of £50,000 (ranging up to £65K depending on experience) + car allowance bonus with an average OTE being £75,000. My client is adamant on finding the correct person. That will be a senior sales manager that is currently working in the power generation sector and is a specialist and expert in the industry, being especially familiar with multi megawatt generators. You will need to have at least 3 years experience and given the complete autonomy of the role you will need to be someone that has a history of managing their own diary and appointments as you will be effectively running your own international operation. You will be expected to hit the ground running and be able to achieve some very challenging sales targets in the first year, to do this you will need to bring forward a good list of well established contacts and be able to utilise them effectively. Contacts within the industrial/chemical/pharmaceutical/energy sectors will be especially useful.

The chance for career progression is very real as they are looking to attack the European market in a big way. You will soon have a number of sales staff reporting in to you and it will be your responsibility to manage them effectively across the continent.

Travel will be a large part of this role; the UK,Spain,Africa and Italy are all countries that will need a lot of attention. You will be travelling throughout the UK & Europe extensively. Needless to say, the correct candidate needs to be very hungry for success, willing to travel and enjoy spending time travelling and has a real 'door knocking' approach to business.
