Specialist CAMHS Practitioner - South West

Our client has a job vacancy for a Specialist CAMHS Practitioner to work in the South West of England. This is a full time position with an initial 3 month contract and the pay rate for this role is 24-28 per hour (limited company worker).

Duties
- Responding to referrals as per the process and priorities of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Assessing the needs of children, adolescents and their families, either individually or along with other members of the team.
- Contributing to multi-agency assessment processes, where these children are already known to CAMH Service.
- Providing a range of interventions for those who are referred, by putting into action agreed treatment objectives, either jointly with other multi disciplinary team members, individually, or with professionals from other agencies, in order to help towards personal and/or inter-personal changes. This may include direct work with children, young people, parents/carers and others.
- Providing consultation and support to other agencies and ensuring effective communication between the Child, Adolescent and Mental Health Service and other providers of services in order to ensure a consistent and co-ordinated response to young people with Mental Health needs.
- Providing consultation and support to field social workers, foster carers and residential social workers to ensure that the mental health needs of children/young people looked after are well met.
- Service Development and Monitoring.
- Contributing to service development in response to changing patterns of local need, service user feedback and the broader agendas of 'Every Child Matters', in order to optimise the effectiveness of the CAMHS service.
- Providing information about services offered by the Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Services to other agencies and the public to ensure awareness of services available.

Requirements
- All applicants must be a Qualified RMN and have a valid NMC Pin.
- You must have 2 years post registration experience in Mental Health and 1 years experience within CAMHS.
- You must have an understanding of your responsibilities under the Mental Health Act 1983.
