A Fortune 500 energy company is currently seeking a Fukushima NTTF (Near-Term Task Force) 2.1 Flood Hazard Reevaluation Engineer at Harris Nuclear Plant in New Hill, NC. This project is scheduled to last 1 month, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates are preferred, but per diem and mobilization / demobilization will be available for candidates who qualify. Actual pay rate will be commensurate with experience, so all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Please indicate your desired rate during the application process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform Engineering Owner Reviews in accordance with client's Procedure EGR-NGGC-0003 (Design Review Requirements) for flood hazard reevaluation performed by URS Corporation
- URS Corporation will postulate flooding hazards at the site using current regulatory guidance and methodologies being used for early site permits (ESP) and combined license applications (COL)

REQUIREMENTS

- Experience performing Owner Reviews and have experience with the Fukushima (Near Term Task Force) NTTF 2.1 recommendation requirements for flooding
- Having been qualified under an accredited training program to perform calculations, design verifications and owner reviews is desirable
