Spatial Team Member - Non Ongoing

This role requires the Spatial Team Member to support both the Spatial System and Data Administrator and the Spatial Product Developer.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

- Elementary knowledge and experience in constructing spatial products using cartographic techniques
- Elementary knowledge and experience in using spatial applications such as MapInfo Professional or Map Intelligence
- Understanding of spatial systems, data and products
- Degree or other evidence of formal study or demonstrated equivalent experience in a related field
- Understanding of statistics (desirable)

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in the maintenance of spatial applications, systems and data
- Assist in maintaining a spatial data catalogue
- Assist to develop, test, release and document changes or enhancements to spatial products, including web based applications
- Undertake limited research and analysis, identifying and understanding business needs and context in which the geospatial solution is to be used
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders in the development of a spatial product that best suits their requirement
- Design and produce basic spatial products in the form of maps or data extracts
- Contribute to the maintenance of the team task register.
