Sourcing Manager

A leading insurer is looking for a strong Strategic Sourcing Manager to provide and apply commercial and contractual knowledge to: the Sourcing Strategy team to support options analysis; and the Relationship Manager within Strategic Sourcing to keep exit options up to date

Key required skills:

*Some experience in a transactions/contracts environment
*Awareness of contract law, drafting and evaluation, so as to support the development of commercially sound contracts
*Commercial negotiation skills & experience
*PC skills: ability to use PC software packages, eg word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail
*Sound understanding of third party contracts and relevant legislation
*Understanding of sourcing programme structure and deal negotiation
*Understanding of outsourcing business functions/activity
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*Understanding of TUPE and similar regulations affecting outsourcing solutions
*Awareness of financial and regulatory risk assessment
*Good/Developing understanding of project management
*Experience of supplier and market evaluation
*Research and analytical skills, enabling the role holder to understand, evaluate, quantify and prioritise facts and data, relating to business demands, alternative Sourcing Strategies, Supplier Financials, and Business Case development
*Innovative thinking to devise novel solutions which generate competitive advantage
*Self-motivation and organisation
*A positive and proactive approach to Business Unit relationships & team work, fostering team work for cross functional
*Leadership & self-motivation
