Sourcing Manager

One of our clients, a multinational company in the pharmaceutical industry is currently looking for a Sourcing Group Manager with 5years experience in Contract Manufacturing Organizations

MISSION FACTORS

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:
* Insure a long term vision on the CMO network expansion over 5 years to support the growth and internationalization of the company
* Manages suppliers relationship to meet the client's requirements: assurance of supply, quality, regulatory, service, costs.
* Lead the procurement and sourcing related to the CMO portfolio
* Contribute to build and implement a global and strategic sourcing plan including 5 years vision.
* Implement and drive the SRM process in order to create value from continuous improvement program
* Demonstrate a broad market knowledge,
* Develop business model helping the decision process
* Key support/Business Partner for External Manufacturing, Business Development, New Product Introduction and New ProductDevelopment
* Understand Global business in order to develop interface to createsynergies.

Accountability:

* Respect of the Make or Buy process to challenge needs
* Ensure that strategies developed are implemented to meet globalbusiness targets in supply security and risk management, best serviceto customers, compliance, and cost effectiveness.
* Introduce procurement in the earliest stage of CMO request inorder to bring significant added value by leveraging market opportunities and considering all business impact, for all related projects and Business Development projects.
* Develop strong interface with External Manufacturing Organization,Quality, Product transfer teams
* Establish, develop and manage supplier's performance by influencingkey suppliers executives. Organize regular business review meeting withsupplier senior management for setting goals and objectives and aligning both supplier and GSK resources to obtain the desired results
* Interact with other procurement stream to anticipate market evolutions
* Develop Market knowledge, participate to international exhibition, sound & evaluate low cost countries and promote innovation and ideas coming from supplier base to challenge internal position toreduce cost and timing
* Develop and maintain a CMO data base to capture market knowledge andcapitalize on cost benchmark for all CMO
* Reduce complexity & cost, increase efficiency by employing operational excellence where/when appropriated
* Ensure Supplier Compliance with the client's policy such as Antibribery anti corruption policy

Complexity:

* Position procurement up-stream in all manufacturing partnership inorder to support projects from their initiation (business needsidentification) to the operation phases
* High degree of complexity driven by diversity of contact trough allsites and organization (quality, manufacturing, finance,logistic,legal)
* Finance cost benchmark, risk analysis, balance sheet analysis
* Legal complexity: large range of contracts and countries to cover

Specialized Knowledge:

* Master in Business or similar with a scientific degree. Lifesciences background a plus
* About 8-10 years International Operational Procurement experience across multiple spends categories, with 5 years in CMOactivities
* Must have an excellent understanding about CMO business
* Can work with limited supervision
* Good project management skills
* Experience in change development, implementation and management
* Result oriented, and able to develop and present strong arguments toconvince of the need for change
* Excellent negotiation skill
* Good People Management, both downward and upward
* Flexible thinking
* Good English communication skills both written and spoken.
