Sophis Application Support Analyst

My client in NYC (downtown) - A global investment bank, is currently looking for a Sophis Application support candidate to join their technology team. Ideally you will have experience with Sophis or a similar application (Murex, Calypso etc), this is a full time, permanent role. Salary is approx 85-115k. No relocation assistance is available. Also linux/unix plus DB (SQL/Sybase/Oracle) experience is helpful.

The purpose of the role will be to provide support specifically to the application, from front office to back office. You will be interacting cross asset class, with all relevant departments. Therefore excellent communication skills are essential. There will be a shift rota for weekend cover. The client will consider a junior candidate with a couple of years experience and strong technical skills, or a more experience candidate with both strong technical skills and a more thorough understanding of Capital markets / trading. Familiarity with both Windows and Unix, plus scripting is desirable.
