Solvency ll Project Manager

On behalf of my large Financial Services client I am looking to recruit a Solvency II Project Manager for 3 months based in Central London.

Purpose of Assignment:
-Work with the many model validation stakeholders and guide the 1st line of defence in its approach to meeting model validation milestones
-Stakeholders including Group 1st line of defence functions, Group Risk, Group Audit and key third party service providers
-Provide group wide guidance to businesses as to how to meet the validation requirements
-Ensure we have robust plans and sufficient resources in place to meet the 1st line of defences model validation milestones
-Monitor and challenge the progress of Business units against model validation milestones
-Provide group wide guidance to businesses as to how to meet the validation requirements
-Maintain and track progress of the 1st line against remediation plans
-Ensure stakeholders are aware of the progress, risks and issues associated with the model

Key Deliverables:
-Model Validation Work stream plan
-Regular Reporting on Progress, Risks and Issues to the Team Leader, Programme Leadership and Solvency II Steering Committee
-Production of a single list of model validation evidence to support the Group Risk independent review of model validation (SCR Process). And ongoing improvement of this list for future reviews of model validation.
-Provision of the evidence in 'releases' to Group Risk, to support their review.
-Manage production of guidance manuals on validation (which will be owned by SME in the team
-Manage & monitor remediation actions on issues identified by MV reviews

Core skills required:
-Project Management
-Team and Stakeholder Management
-Experience in Finance or Insurance areas
-Solvency II, ideally in the areas of Model Build and/or Model Validation.
-Understanding of Audits and/or Review methodology
-Actuary or Accountant in the insurance industry
