Solvency II Pillar III QRT Reporting Consultant - Paris

FINANCIAL CONSULTANT - SOLVENCY II, PILLAR III REPORTING - FREELANCE - PARIS

My client, an INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED INSURANCE COMPANY are currently recruiting a financial consultant to join their SOLVENCY II PROGRAMME to support the industrialisation of their reporting tools.

They are looking for someone with excellent SOLVENCY II, PILLAR III experience, with previous experience within INVESTMENT QRT REPORTING. This will be a freelance contract opportunity lasting until at least the end of 2015, with the possibility of extension to mid-2016 BASED IN PARIS .

SPECIFIC DUTIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

- Review and update the investment financial close process for Solvency II
- Support development of the Data Repository through testing of data, including writing comprehensive test scripts delivered to IS before testing.
- Testing the successful loading of asset data, QRT data information and regression testing during each new release. Co-ordination of dry run production of QRTs, and reconciliation back to
- Continually keep abreast of changes to finance/investment regulations & implement new procedures when necessary ensuring the Company's legal & statutory requirements are met
- Embedding new processes within the BAU teams to become Solvency II compliant

SKILLS:

- Qualified Accountant (or equivalent)
- Investment accounting experience
- Ability to deal with complex tasks, unsupervised
- Able to work effectively in a team
- Good skills in relevant software applications, including excel, word, ICON, SAP
- Ability to work on own initiative and to agreed targets
- Enthusiastic and confident approach to new challenges
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent English is mandatory, a good level of French is desirable but not required
