Solvency II Finance Data Analyst

My Client a global underwriter in the London insurance market are currently recruiting for a Solvency II Finance Data Analyst to support their Solvency II Pillar 3 Programme

The Solvency II Finance Data Analyst will be required to fully understand the business and data problems, to support capture of requirements to inform and assist in the decision making process. To deliver accurate and robust analysis (data and reporting), to develop functional specifications/design and end to end functional solutions, to support development and testing of the new solution. To enable change and act as a bridge between Finance, Actuaries and IT to deliver a successful end solution that meets the needs of the Solvency II Pillar III programme.

MAIN DUTIES

- Working with the Technical Accounting, MI and project teams to provide data analysis and requirements assessment to support the Solvency II Pillar III reporting programme
- Map data sources from source systems to SII Pillar III reporting requirements
- Support MI and development teams in developing solutions to support the programme
- To support change deliverables throughout the life cycle of a project eg analysis, requirements, functional specifications/design, testing scenarios, business impact and change readiness assessments, facilitate user acceptance testing, training.
- To support Project Managers and/or other Business Analysts in the delivery of change and analysis.
- To liaise and work with the Architecture teams to understand the strategic direction of the business, the IT strategy and its architecture in order to ensure business requirements and process designs/proposals are fully aligned with the their systems roadmap.
- To manage stakeholder expectations through engagement and regular communication.
- To build mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships across dependent internal teams.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

- Systems Accountant background or Finance Data Analyst experience is a must have
- Full or part qualified accountant or Actuary preferable but not mandatory
- Solvency II Pillar reporting experience highly preferable but not mandatory
- Demonstrable experience in an Insurance organisation with good understanding of the commercial insurance/reinsurance industry is mandatory
- Experience of London Market Insurance processes is preferable but not mandatory
