Solvency II Accountant

PRGs client, a highly successful financial service business based in Edinburgh, has an excellent opportunity to recruit an Accountant with particular exposure to Solvency II.

This role will form part of a wider Financial Reporting project team and you&rsquoll be tasked specifically with Investment and Accounting aspects of Solvency II reporting to group and PRA.

Reporting to the Senior Reporting Manager, key responsibilities of the role:

Project manage Investment and Accounting aspects of Solvency II reporting
Update quantitative reporting templates, highlighting gaps, assumptions etc.
Undertake technical research on queries from stakeholders
Assist with the delivery of Accounting & Investment QRT to Group and PRA
Work with the Asset data project on building an asset data warehouse

You will be a qualified accountant and have a strong understanding of IFRS accounting, Derivatives and Solvency II reporting &ndash you will ideally come from a professional service firm of financial service organisation.

This role will also require a good level of systems experience i.e. Advanced MS Excel &ndash you will be a good communicator and have a proven track record of strong stakeholder management.

This is an excellent long-term contract opportunity that offers a good opportunity to go permanent with this highly respected organisation.
