Solutions Network Architect

SOLUTIONS NETWORK ARCHITECT   CR-30010

IMMEDIATE HIRE for a Solutions Network Architect!  This is a 12+ month contract position with the work able to be done REMOTELY, but must be able to support all time zones. 

DUTIES:

- Qualified individual will have strong architecture experience to assist with the global consolidation and migration of Data Centers.
- Individual must have exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills along with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
- In addition, the individual must be able to convert business requirements into a workable network migration solution (plan) which is then incorporated in the overall system infrastructure migration plan.

REQUIRED:

- Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in a Network Architect role with a cross section of vendors, services and solutions.  For example:  Storage network, LAN, WAN, Firewalls, Loadbalancers, etc.
- Must have recent Data Center Infrastructure experience including understanding of network storage, routing, switching and interoperability various midrange platforms.
- Must have recent Data Center Migration and Consolidation experience including understanding current state and future state options for migrations.
- Must have extensive MPLS, Systems/Network Engineering, Architecture and Routing and Switching.
- Requires Enterprise level routing and switching experience, BGP/OSPF protocol experience, Spanning tree, VLAN Mapping, QnQ and other layer 2 switching experience, Layer 3 routing experience (6500/4500 series), and Network design/documentation experience.
- Network Security background with Enterprise level network support experience.

DESIRED:

- Experience working with 3COM/HPN products and training others is highly desired!

EDUCATION:

4 year degree or extensive hands-on experience in lieu of degree.

CCNP or CCIE
