Solutions Architect - SC Cleared, Togaf, BPMN, Sparx - South Wales

Experienced SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT required for Government Organisation based in NEWPORT, SOUTH WALES.

DUE TO THE URGENCY OF THIS ROLE THERE IS A STRONG PREFERENCE FOR CANDIDATES WHO HOLD CURRENT SECURITY CLEARANCE TO SC LEVEL.

CANDIDATES WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH TOGAF, BPMN AND SPARX, WITH A KNOWLEDGE OF AGILE WORKING. Any experience of court based systems is highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE OF SPECIFIYING AND IMPLEMENTING ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING IS ALSO ESSENTIAL AND MUST BE DEMONSTRATED ON CVS:

Customer facing Web based applications

Workflow and document management

Cloud based hosting and provisioning (PAAS)

Cloud based systems provisioning (IAAS) Outsource support and maintenance

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Strong experience of performing with a Solutions Architect role

Experience of working on a large Project Be able to perform critical Gap Analysis

Design a Roadmap for the prospective implementation of the UPC systems

Tender specification and analysis

Good Communication Skills

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identification of potential IT solutions to meet the business requirements;

Researching what is being used within wider government and the private sector;

Assessment of solution options in consultation with the project team and impacted business areas;

Providing information on the relative risks and benefits of each option to allow the business to make an informed decision on product selection;

Liaison with Departmental ICT and/or Procurement to progress the necessary procurement or framework commercials;

Delivery of the IT specific elements of the overall Project Business Case;

Development of a model for future solutions research and selection;

Upskilling of in-house staff in solutions identification and selection.
