Solutions Architect- Plymouth- 6 Months - 600 per day

Solutions Architect, required for a Public Sector Organisation based in Portsmouth.

The Solutions Architect will take responsibility for managing and updating data models, data architecture, data dictionaries, configuration and reference data catalogues. Work with business leads to identify and document data and reporting requirements. You will be defining and developing and documenting the solution architecture to be used in the development of Land Registry computer systems within the relevant domain. Informing development strategy across Land Registry and spreading best practice. You will ensure that open source and commercial off the shelf software and packages are appropriately tailored and integrated in line with the enterprise architecture framework and associated standards. You will be working with customers and stakeholders to understand their requirements, gain their confidence and produce solutions that are timely, cost effective and fit for purpose.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

- Practical Experience of delivering solution architectures within and enterprise architecture framework methodology (eg TOGAF, Zachmann)
- Understanding of Central Government IT related initiatives
- Practical experience of the IT procurement life cycle, specifically solution specifications and evaluation criteria
- Experience of platforms and languages appropriate to the Solution Group domain eg IBM z/OS, IBM DB2, Sun Unix, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft SQL,JAVA
- Experience of the following techniques, Process Improvement, Stakeholder Management, Eliciting Business Requirements, Business and IT alignment to inform strategies and polices
- Experience of building, maintaining and managing relationships with vendors Technical Design Authority

This is a 6 month initial contract based in Plymouth Daily Rate 600 per day
