Solutions Architect - Java, DB2, Mainframe, Midrange

Our client is a high profile Government Agency located in Canberra. They are currently looking to fill a key position within their ICT solutions team.

The department is looking for a Solutions Architect who will be responsible for the following duties:

- Defining the structure, services and information provided by a new solution
- Delivering quality costed solution architecture and detailed design for major ICT initiatives in a complex environment
- Designing ICT solution within a complex multi department environment and mentoring other personnel in the Architect role.

Skills and experience required include:

- 5-10 years Solutions Architecture experience.
- Experience on both mid-range and Mainframe platforms
- Experience in complex solution environments
- Extensive experience delivering solutions on Java and DB2
- Excellent written communication skills and presentation skills.

This is a great opportunity to secure a long term contract, starting immediately through to 30 June 2013, with potential to extend.
