Job Title: Solutions Architect - Java and Unix
Location: Hertfordshire
£400-450 pd.

My client a leader in the payments sector has an excellent Solutions Architect opportunity for a candidate with extensive Unix and Java experience from the banking/ payments industry

Specific technical ability for the Solutions Architect
Strong knowledge of Unix and Java
Strong application server knowledge (WebLogic or WebSphere)
Strong relational database knowledge (Oracle or DB2), and XML
Working knowledge of system integration products e.g. MQ Series, TIBCO, JMS compliant queues
Banking and payments sector experience is a distinct advantage.

Overall Role Purpose of the Solutions Architect
To work on the architectural design of internal and external projects and provide product architecture and technical expertise to the client and to the project team throughout the product life cycle, from pre-sales to live support

Accountabilities
To liaise with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Service Line, Operations, functions such as Infrastructure, Development, Programmes, Service Integration and external stakeholders; customers and suppliers.

To understand stakeholder concerns in order to develop, define and document overall solutions/architectures for programmes and bids which address those concerns. To communicate the solutions to the project team.

To provide technical authority and governance across the lifetime of the project.
