SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT - EMC

The role of Solutions Architect is to provide technical leadership, solution delivery excellence. The Solutions Architect will work closely with sales and delivery teams to coordinate and conduct the delivery of high-level complex solutions, and maintain overall responsibility for the development of practice standards, policies and procedures.

Candidates must have strong solution design, implementation and support skills using virtualization and storage technologies from EMC. Must be able to lead customer pre-sales, strategy, architecture and implementation engagements.

The Solutions Architect will combine real world delivery experience with excellent technology understanding to deliver high-quality solutions

Required

Technology related qualification and Industry certification

5+ years hands-on IT consulting delivery (Data Migration processes replication, duplication, etc.)

VMware Virtualization Technologies
-

Strong EMC Enterprise Storage Skills

Windows and UNIX operating systems

Excellent written, presentation and communication skills

Ability to influence others to achieve results

Strong technical aptitude

Ability to travel as required

Experience with some of the following required

EMC Symmetrix DMX Series, EMC VNX, EMC CLARiiON, and EMC Celerra
Replication Methodologies: EMC TimeFinder, EMC SRDF, EMC SnapView, EMC MirrorView, EMC SAN Copy, EMC RecoverPoint, and EMC Open Replicator
Operating Systems: AIX, HPUX, Red Hat & Suse Linux, Sun Solaris, VMware ESX/vSphere and Windows
Storage Networking: Fibre-Channel and iSCSI, DAS/SAN/NAS, Broacde, McData, and Cisco MDS Switches
Backup Software: Symantec Veritas NetBackup, EMC Networker, CommVault Galaxy, and IBM TSM
Volume Managers and File Systems: VxVM, VxFS, LVM, JFS, UFS, NFS, CIFS, MPFS, Veritas DMP, EMC PowerPath, MPIO, EMC Open Migrator
Storage Management Software: EMC Control Center, EMC Navisphere Manager, EMC Solutions Enabler
