DESCRIPTION
Project/Department Description
PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise & consultancy on broad ICT Infrastructure technology lines
(Client Server, storage, virtualization, networking, security, application delivery)
- Design and architectural insight skills
- Follow up on emerging new technologies a evaluate their sense for the company
- Ability to read technology schemes, and advise on improvements
- Work out Business Continuity plans for ICT
- Design & deploy solutions
- Project related site deployment and integration
- Integrate solutions together with other application teams
- 3rd Line support (troubleshooting, incident management, debugging)
- Screening of J&J operating companies for possible consolidations
- Performance monitoring & tuning
- Improvement and extension of operational stability
- Creation and improvements of operational guidelines,
implementation guidelines and QA documentation
- Disaster recovery design & support activities
NON-TECHNICAL PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
- Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend/holiday work)
- Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills
- Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
- Quick learner, motivated self-starter
- Ability to coach and train younger ICT professionals
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills
- Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines
- On-call permanency is possible
METHODOLOGY/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science
OR equivalent through experience.
- Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education
in technical disciplines is preferred
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCIES
- English spoken and written
- Dutch is a plus
