Solutions Architect (Application Layer)

We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Solutions Architect for a 6 month contract for customer on the out skirts of Dublin.

This is an interesting role and you will be playing an significant role in delivering business critical application solutions.

SOME RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT:

Work with the Business Analysts to document/refine requirements (functional and non-functional)
-

Adapt Business Requirements into a technical design and specification that will form the blueprint for the solution being created to solve an identified business need.

Document solution design and interfaces with other applications
-

Recommend and design structures and tools which meet business needs, delivering the technical visualization of proposed applications for approval by customer and execution of solution developers
-

Define the end-to-end solution for a project and ensure the detailed design and development remains consistent with the Enterprise Architecture

Provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration and ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly

EXPERTISE REQUIRED:

-

Relevant qualification in Information Technology and or Business to HETAC Level 8.

Experience of developing technical designs and specifications for internal developers or for input to RFP for out-sourced development and review and evaluation of solution proposals and efficient specifications

Experience at the application layer (CRM, SharePoint, BizTalk)

Experience of planning, designing and performing user acceptance testing

Good overview of technology solutions and application development.

Ability to communicate with stakeholders to clarify needs and validate proposed solutions.

Ability to work independently with users to validate solutions and also under direction of project managers

Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to designing solutions on new platforms

Experience and knowledge of a broad range of ICT areas including applications, databases, infrastructure and technology

Good awareness of information security principles and secure solution design
