Solutions Architect

An opportunity exists for a Solution Architect to join a high performing software development team.

This contract has the potential to turn into 3 years of work - 12 month initial period with lengthy extension options!

This application is n-tier, web based and built on the Microsoft Technology stack.

There are 2 major enhancement releases per year. As such, there is a small travel component to this role.

Your SKILLS AND DUTIES will include:

- Understanding of user requirements and interpretation into application design;
- Delegation of work and collaboration with developers to create detailed designs;
- Leadership level of understanding of JavaScript, C#, SQL Server, advanced DHTML and .NET components;
- Ensure application of industry and defence standards to the development of ACMS;
- Technical mentor to team members;
- Monitoring of progress against timeframes and scope of software releases;
- Promotion of new functionality to users through conduct of "road show" presentations;
- Ensure release notes communicate the proper usage and purpose of functionality to users;
- Manage external system interfaces and data feeds;
- Monitor testing and fixes to provide go or no-go recommendation for release.
- Proactively monitor and support the welfare and morale of the team.

You will be required to be available to start in this role on July 1 2014.

Due to the nature of this organisation, you must be an Australian citizen with an NV1 clearance.
