JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect with at least 10 years of ERP, Application Development, Application Design and Integration experience.
Please note this position was originally posted as a full time role. We are looking for a one-year contract with a potential extension or potential hire but not guaranteed. All candidates will be reviewed and only qualified candidates will be shortlisted. Please ask your candidates if they have already been submitted for a full time role or if they applied to a similar position for a full time role. The challenge with this role is the individual needs to be a Strategic and Tactical with demonstrated ability to grasp and translate technical concepts, think independently, and take the initiative required to resolve issues in a team structure. The candidates who interviewed for full time role were too technical for the role.
While the must have technical skills are important to be able to do the job, this individual also needs to have proven track record of delivering results and demonstrated experience in successfully managing complex organizational initiatives involving multiple functions and multiple business units/regions. Individuals who worked within large organization and has worked with similar type of projects or a large project would be given preference. Degree in Finance or Computer Science or extensive experience in Technical Design, Solutioning and Integration will be considered. Candidates must have ERP Oracle R12 experience and business process experience (functional) and not technical)
Only qualified candidates will be shortlisted. Short listing will take place as soon as qualified candidates have been submitted. They may be two interviews. Interviews will be scheduled next week.
Please submit candidates with the following MUST HAVE:

- In-Depth knowledge of Oracle Financial ERP R12 is a must, as well as Hyperion suites of product
- Expert knowledge of the technical environment/tools (ie, user environment, applications, software, hardware, programming languages and operation systems)
- Expert knowledge of business processes and procedures, as well as broader organizational issues and technology
- Strong knowledge and experience in the use of SDLC methodologies
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications

This individual will create the Software Design Specification for the Finance systems. He/she will define the applications required to operationalize the business imperatives, define how the components of all the applications relate to each other, and how the facilities (new or existing) will support the capability or business are. We are looking for a strategic and tactical Solutions Architect to ensure the application components align with the TD application architecture and meet the application performance goals. They would need to be able to identify and address application and data issues that affect application integrity and identify cross-capability and cross-release issues that affect the business process design integrity.
With an in-depth knowledge of Oracle Financial ERP, this individual would work with other architects to ensure the application components align with specific software design component and meet performance goals. They would work with other architects to select the operating alternatives that form the overall operating strategy and business process design. They must be able to fully understand the capabilities and limitations of the technical environments that come with any packaged software used by the project.
They need to be able to identify risks and assumptions associated with the applications.
Other responsibilities include:
- Review and integrate all application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements. Review and integrate the technical design requirements for the development, execution, and operations environments
- Lead the application and technical design analysis, and implementation, and ensure that the product fulfills the requirements
- Work with the support unit to determine how the application is supported in production, including back-ups, disaster recovery, system performance, and project management
- Obtain stakeholder buy-in for application and technical designs.
- Review application and technical components deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and requirement traceability
- Ensure adherence to all quality management plans and standards by participating in quality management reviews
- Own the design, build, and test of all technical design components/solutions (eg, development, execution, and operations environment solutions)
- Monitor product life cycles, ensuring specifications and functionality support business objectives and solution decisions, undertaking re-development, as required
- Adhere to existing processes/standards, business technology architecture, risk and production capacity guidelines; plan, monitor and escalate issues as required
- Follow standards, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and applicable Business Recovery Plans (BRP)
- Comply with the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC) - including development of project plans, documentation of system requirements, estimates of scope and cost
- Deliver effective and efficient solutions by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time, within budget, and adhering to development and quality standards
- Maintain a proficient knowledge of system development methodologies and system analysis principles and apply learning to business solutions
- Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends/developments and develop expertise in TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery
- Manage Relationships and act as an expert resource providing insight and recommendations based on industry and technology trends, system strategy and design
- Influence vendors in product design by being recognized as a well-respected leader in own field of expertise
