Solutions Architect

My client is a leading telecommunications provider and is searching for a solutions architect with the following skills
The Principal Solutions Architect/Customer Engineering Consultant is responsible for providing detailed network-centric solutions to support sales opportunities, working with Pre Sales, Account Managers and Internal suppliers across Business and Networks. The successful candidate will join a team that acts as a technical interface between the Business division and the rest of the organisation, documenting and agreeing customer designs and process considerations; collating costs and assessing the technical risk on a per project basis- all often within demanding timescales. Other responsibilities include providing technical advice and support to account teams, participating in customer meetings, supporting product management, engaging with vendors and supporting with consultancy business-wide change initiatives as required.

Required Experience

Qualifications

• Educated to college and/or degree standard and/or has relevant industry experience.
• General Technical expertise in technologies/products or services supporting voice, data and/or transmission networks.
• Technical expertise and a working knowledge in LAN / WAN integration and deployment including:
o Firewalls and Load Balancers
o Web Caching, Filtering and Reporting
o Remote Access
o Email Filtering and Relay

Experience

• Experience in telecoms or IT-related industry, including exposure to senior management.
• Exposure to a technical environment either via a customer or supplier role.
• Previous experience in producing fully costed and documented technical solutions or business cases.
• Overall operational and design experience covering multiple vendors is as desirable as formal vendor training.
