Our globally expanding client is looking for a highly creative individual to work with Catamaran and internal resources to conduct discovery sessions and take the information to translate the identified business needs into a coherent and feasible technical design that the Catamaran team can understand and implement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Participate in the planning process to understand business, technical objectives, and product requirements
- Assess the business requirements for an initiative or problem
- Design and document solutions to meet the business/technical objectives
- Create Visio(s) and Topology Designs
- Interface with Network Carriers
- Consult and design WAN and QoS architecture for successful VOIP deployment
- Test feasibility of potential options
- Work with cross functional team members in build technical solution requirements
- Work with different Catamaran business units and venders to collect and gather solution information
- Ability to consult on VOIP deployment best practices
- Effectively communicate solutions architecture to the customer, third parties and the project teams
- Support the specification and construction of the design to completion
- Participate in issue management activities

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- 5+ years of experience in a technical role, including both design and implementation
- In-depth understanding of Converged Infrastructure marketplace and trends
- Ability to thoroughly discusses multi-vendor environments and have some experience in configuring multi-vendor solutions
- Strong knowledge of the Avaya portfolio with specific expertise in at least one recognized industry subject matter areas (typically certified as well)
- Technical certifications from Avaya and Cisco preferred
- Strong presentation skills to speak to large audiences of technical and managerial audiences
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to use Word, PowerPoint, and Visio to help articulate the solution
- Ability to lead internal knowledge transfer sessions for the team and for large audiences
- Ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented setting
- Superior organization and time-management skills
- Intellectual curiosity and the desire to keep up with new aspects of the business and technology
- Moderate local travel required at client site in and around Lisle Illinois
