Solution Engineer/Systems Analyst

ENTERPRISE VAULT SYSTEMS ANALYST NOVATO, CA 9 MONTH CONTRACT

You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Enterprise Vault environment, and assist/facilitate the upgrade to current version of the software. Additional information will be provided during the next steps of the interview process.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
- Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years proven work experience as a Systems Analyst

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

- Expert knowledge of Symantec Enterprise Vault software
- Experience in Microsoft operating system and databases
- Experience in upgrading Enterprise Vault
- Strong documentation skills
- Analytical thinker, detailed oriented, with good problem solving skills
- Organized with good time management skills
- Ability deal with ambiguity and manage change effectively
- Team player, cooperative with good interpersonal skills

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate, with supervisor guidance, design phases for upgrade of Enterprise Vault, identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues related to the upgrade
- Provide day-to-day support of the current implementation of Enterprise Vault and transition to day-to-day support of the upgraded implementation
- May facilitate small group meetings for technical design and task implementation
- Provide estimates on activities/tasks required to perform those activities and tasks
- Write unit test plans and execute unit testing for programs of simple to average complexity using different tools
- Assist in completing technical documentation and training material
- Organize and participate in walkthrough reviews of all technical specifications, programs and unit test plans
- Provide implementation and post-implementation support, as necessary
- Recommend technology solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs continually exploring and assessing options for value-add for clients
- Perform other duties as assigned
