BRINE SA is currently looking for BI SOLUTION DESIGNERfor our client in LAUSANNE area.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The role of the BI Solution Designer includes the overall design and build of a reporting solution encompassing best practices for the BI Solution.

Liaise with the Business, Process Teams, BI Administrators, DBA Teams and other work streams where required.

Liaise with Offshore developers to ensure solutions are built, tested and deployed to meet the business needs.

KEY OUTPUT

Produce Technical Build Specifications and prototype where required: Translate the needs of the business normally submitted by a Functional Specification into clear build specifications from which a solution can be developed. Prototype where required. Including Back End and Front End specifications

GOVERNANCE: Ensure consistance and coherence regarding the information delivered by ensuring measures and dimemsions of analysis are defined correctly and are not duplicated neither neither ambigous. Facilitate alignment across different business areas and identify the business processes supported by the solution, Define and Reinfornce governance rules to be applied around self-reporting activities.

Liaison with Offshore Development Team: Ensure the development team deliver the correct solution as per functional and technical specification

Testing: Produce and execute test scripts to ensure development is fit for Production using the standard approach

Implementation: Coordinate release of the Change and agree delivery dates to production. Define the required historical data and retention period for the solution in Productive system.

Training: Produce training material and ensure Regional Business Solutions and sustain teams are adequately trained on the delivered solutions

Pro-active actions taken to resolve the Root Cause not just the symptoms thereby ensuring continuous improvement and waste reduction

Project Management: As contributor within larger projects, deliver expected results on time, scope and quality

KEY EXPERIENCES

Based on scope of position, 3 - 5 years end to end experience in large, global application design and build projects

Proficient in systems (Oracle, Business Objects, SAP, Microsoft etc.) depending on specific area of responsibility

Analytical and Technical skills to produce detailed Functional and Technical Specifications

Experience working within an international, multi-cultural, fast changing organisation
