Solution Designer Only Charging System (Openet)

JOB DESCRIPTION SOLUTION DESIGNER ONLY CHARGING SYSTEM (OPENET)

The Solutions & Services department is accountable for all architecture, design, build and test activities required for delivering solutions and services to the internal and external customers. These solutions and services consist of IT applications for the Mobile and Fixed domain as well as Value Added Services in the NT domain.

The main technical domains are:

IT area:
Portals, CRM, Billing, Enterprise Integration, Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse solutions, ERP 

NT area:
IN (Intelligent Network) services, Prepaid Billing, Value Added services (SMS, Voicemail, MMS, etc), data access and systems to control access to end-user services (AAA, LDAP, MIG).

The new Solution Designer will work for S minimum 32 (or 40) hours/week

Key Accountabilities:

- Understands/assesses the impact a business requirement has on their domain systems landscape and is to a large extend able to analyze the impact over the total scope of applications, Middleware and databases for NT, Mobile and other areas.
- Is able to match the business requirements with possible solutions based on the solution architecture and can assess the implications to the operational fitness, the business case and further future developments in the applicable and adjacent areas and or vendor roadmaps.
- Follow the solution architecture in order to understand the business case and business requirements and manages to translate these into high quality E2E designs taking impact in costs and systems within budget (pareto).
- Is able to cooperate and steer functional designers in case of large Projects with major impact.
- Produces Solution Designs and Functional designs, can assess the quality of Functional designs and Detailed Designs.
- Has a wide telecoms and technology awareness and knowledge and is seen as both technical as well as functionally expert in the design field.
- Has both detailed as well as company wide functional knowledge of their domain and is able to replace other solution designers with a minimal amount of handover or training.

Education and Work Experience:

- Academic background in technical/sciences area, preferably in Computer Science or with a strong emphasis on (telecoms) Information Technology.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in software development, with knowledge of the development life cycle of Technology projects, from business requirements to functional design, technical design, programming, testing, operational hand-over, operational maintenance and support to final product phase-out configuration.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in functional analysis and design.

Knowledge (Language, IT, etc):

- High level of knowledge of the mobile operator business;
