Solution Designer - DW/BI

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead and manage solution design outcomes, the development of design documentation, and obtain approval from key stakeholders for large and complex programs of work to ensure that solutions are 'fit for purpose'
- Manage the resolution of design decisions and issues through the solution design and delivery phases for high risk, large and complex programs of work to ensure timely identification and resolution of design
- Apply high-level expertise knowledge of systems to inform Architecture and Solutions Design on optimal designs and appropriate compromises to ensure high quality solutions are delivered to the business

REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong analysis and problem solving skills and ability to identify and evaluate various data integration solution options for desired outcome.
- Proven track record in systems integration, with solid experience in system specification and design
- Provide leadership in the area of ETL & Data Integration.
- Provide guidance on Technology and best practice usage.
- Hands-on experience on design and development of data integration solutions using Informatica.
- Reviews the Designs developed by Solution designers for alignment with standards and best practices

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

- 10+ years of experience in data integration/data warehousing area including design, development & delivery of business solutions into production including at least 6+ year of experience in technical business analysis & 4+ years as a people manager in the IT Industry/financial services. Banking and Finance Industry)
- Demonstrated experience ETL technologies (Informatica) with a strong understanding reference architectures, theories, principles, and practices
- Demonstrated experience in data integration projects and varying SDLC methodologies including operating within a project delivery framework
- Building the framework for IT development and maintenance with strong understanding of DW/BI fundamentals and strong hands on knowledge on Informatica
