Solution Designer/Application Architect .NET/WCF/ASP.NET (S39)

Brand new opportunity looking for a Solution Designer/Application Architect for a 6 month contract opportunity in Sydney's CBD. My client (a leader in banking and financial services) is looking for a technical professional with experience in delivering design in large and complex enterprises.

The key responsibilities of the role will be to provide expertise to all levels of the SDLC, such as architecture, design and support. You will be taking on the role of application architect, integration architect as well as solution desginer and will be responsible for delivering to the highest quality, whilst keeping within scope and budget.

In order to be successful in the role you will require:

- A strong background working with Microsoft application technologies
- Experience in a lead role either as manager or team lead
- Experience delivering design in complex environments
- Ideally you will have experience in fund administration, superannuation, wealth management or financial planning
- Experience working with offshore teams
- Agile/Scrum methodology (Scrum Master certified is desirable)
- Solution design using UML
- Strong experience in application development using .NET/C#
- Strong experience in Web application development using ASP.NET
- Strong experience with WCF

In addition to the above it would be highly desirable if you have exposure to service integration design and development using WebSphere BPM/ESB and exposure to J2EE/Java technologies.

You will need to have a passion and keen interest for broadening your knowledge in full end to end solution design and you will need to have proven experience in a leadership role, in order to guide a team on the full delivery. You will also have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, have the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders, as well as take ownership of the role and deal under a pressured environment.
