Solution Designer

- Initial 6 month contract
- Work for a large reputable Government organisation
- Sydney CBD based

Our client is seeking a Solution Designer to report to the Lead Architect/Program Solutions Architect on planned activities and schedules that include design work with multiple project teams to plan and coordinate releases in two Agile environments. You will help in source control, continuous integration, automated testing and release management also provide Configuration Management for both environments.

- Solution and application design for integration and web applications
- UML modelling
- SOA
- JEE
- Mainframe integration
- Release management and application deployment
- Continuous build/test environments
- AGILE (SCRUM)
- Automated testing
- Source control (Subversion, Git)
- Quality Control tools (HP QC)
- Technical leadership

Additional Qualifications Desired

- Significant work and contributions to one or more open source projects
- QA experience, including automated test development
- Experience working with distributed systems
- Need to be able to self-manage and organise
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Experience in stakeholder management
