Solution Architect - Wholesale Billing

Responsibilities:

- He/she will lead the solution architecture definition for wholesale billing solution and deliver Solution Architecture Documents (SADs).
- He/she will be responsible for the correct identification of customer requirements and correct communication of those to the development team.
- He/she will ensure that the design of the system module architecture is robust and integrated seamlessly into existing networks and systems.
- He/she will ensure that the application architecture is designed with a high degree of modularity, scalability and interoperability with external system interfaces.
- He/she will ensure the application architecture, design and implementation conforms to the business and system requirements of the related module.
- He/she will be responsible for providing all internal and external documentation relating to the solution.
- He/she will be responsible for reviewing detailed design documents and interface agreements.

Note that this position will require extensive time working at the customer site.

Requirements:

Essential knowledge/skills:

- Operator background for wholesale business is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the CSG(Intec), Amdocs, Telarix wholesale billing solution is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Mediation, Trading, Routing products is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Interconnect settlement (IDD or domestic), Roaming settlement, MVNO settlement, Contents settlement or New service settlement like M2M, digital service, apps etc.
- Knowledge of best industry practices in requirements gathering and solution architecture.
- Ability to support the technical pre-sale activities.
- Ability to manage customer workshops.
- Ability to manage and control customer expectations focusing on minimizing customization.
- Ability to work across cultural and organizational boundaries, and operate successfully in an intense business environment.
- Ability to work with customers, internal business unit organizations, and third party vendors.
- Ability to perform job functions to standards under pressure of tense/confrontational situations.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult customers and/or situations.
- Ability to provide concise and clear, written and verbal reports.
- Ability to present technical information to audiences with a wide range of technical knowledge.
- Ability to work independently.
- Fluent communication in English.
- Knowledge of eTom and ITIL is desirable.
- Proven experience of business analysis and business process definition is highly desirable and could lead to consideration of a Business Analyst role.

Essential experience:

- Proven solution architecture experience within major wholesale billing projects.
- 5 years PRE-SALES EXPERIENCE or above is needed for PRE-SALE CONSULTANT.
- 3 years PROJECT DELIVERY/OPERATION experience or above is needed for DELIVERY SA.
