Solution Architect - Safety Critical Systems

My client, a leading ATM organisation in Belgium is looking for an experienced SOLUTION ARCHITECT to work as part of a team for an initial one year contract.

Candidates interested in applying for this role will be expected to demonstrate the following experience:

- At least 5 years experience as software architect of large mission critical systems
- At least 3 years experience as software developer in large software development projects
- Additionally this profile shall comprise solid and proven architectural experience in several of the following domains:
- SAFETY CRITICAL SYSTEMS, high availability systems, Real Time, mission critical systems
- DATA ARCHITECTURE, Datamodelling, DB tools, DB design (Oracle, SQL), storage, backup
- Object Oriented methodology, design patterns
- Middleware and INTEGRATION TOOLS (ESB, EAI, Web services)
- WEB TECHNOLOGIES like WEB SERVERS, APPLICATION SERVERS (WEBLOGIC), COLLABORATION TOOLS, CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, WEB SERVICES - Knowledge of one or more of the following domains is an advantage: Flight planning, Flow management, Airspace information

Responsibilities:

- Business analysis, software specifications, technical architecture, technical design
- Requirements analysis
- Design of the technical solution
- Technical follow-up of development
- Prototyping
- Development of deliverables such as TS (Technical Specifications), BSR documents (Business and Services Requirements)
- The work will focus on the design of the service layer components, the client applications (Portal) and the B2B web services
- Some limited software development activities could be undertaken to support prototypes building for validation.
- In the relevant area of expertise, contribute to various technical and architecture documents
