Solution Architect (IS Telematics)

Responsibility and Accountability:

Lead feasibility studies on Business Requirements/Needs
Engage with the business representatives and assisting in the translation of business requirements into a solution vision, and identifying solution architecture (HW, SW, Infrastructure, Data and Services) to deliver it
Lead IS development effort estimation and technical impact studies
Apply architectural and engineering concepts to architecture and design commercially feasible solutions that meet business requirements, considering scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, flexibility, availability, manageability and re-usability
Identify the technologies to employ and take responsibility for the assurance of supplier solutions.
Lead the definition of the AMIE Connected Vehicle IS Telematics strategy
Create & maintain AMIE IS Telematics technology roadmaps
Ensure technical solutions are in-line with Global and Regional IS Telematics technical strategies.
Responsible for defining and partitioning complex technical requirements for inclusion in System Requirements.
Assurance of supplier documentation to ensure compliance with requirements.
Specify cross-product API and communication protocols
Approve public API of major sub-system components
Lead Root Cause Analysis on system level issues

You will also have experience of:

Experience working as Solutions Architect, or similar role
Knowledge of a wide range of Information Technologies, with experience of their integration and configuration: eg Web Technologies, EAI, RDBMS, XML, Oracle SOA, SaaS/PaaS, Web Applications
In-Depth expertise in UML, OOAD and SysML
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of technical architecture roles across all phases of the development life cycle
Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with systems integration methods and technologies.
Track record of design and delivery of integrated IT solutions.
Ability to give advice and guidance on approach to design of systems architectures
Experience of bringing differing supplier methodologies together to achieve a coherent solution
Practical experience of service, application, data and infrastructure architecture
Experience in systems delivery including analysis, design, implementation, testing and support.
Automotive Experience in Infotainment and/or Telematics systems
