Solution Architect in financial products

SOLUTION ARCHITECT role for definition, design and implementation guidance of a DWH-based Reporting Solution in order to achieve regulatory compliance (MiFID II Target Market Suitability, MiFID II Transaction Reporting)

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

- UP TO 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE WORKING IN FINANCIAL INDUSTRY
- EXPERIENCE WITH LARGE PROJECTS PLACING REQUIREMENTS TO MANY AFFECTED APPLICATIONS (WITH DIFFERENT ARCHITECTURES)
- KNOWLEDGE OF INVESTMENT PRODUCTS, TRADING, ORDER MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, DWH, BI,
- EXPERIENCE IN SETTING UP REGULATORY REPORTING SOLUTIONS.
- Technical implementation of data quality checks
- Ability to design & describe the overarching end to end solution in collaboration with the solution engineers of the involved applications
- Familiar with design tools such as MS Visio, Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect
- SQL, Interface Definition, ETL Tools, FTPS, secure cross border data transfers, DWH (data warehouse) experience

ROLE PURPOSE

- DESIGNS SOLUTIONS TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION: ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY, QUALITY AND FEASIBILITY WITHIN THE PROJECT ACTIVITIES
- ANALYZES AND DESIGNS THE SOLUTION, INCLUDING INTERFACES TO OTHER APPLICATIONS AND MAKES SURE, THAT THE SOLUTION IS EMBEDDED IN THE APPLICATION DOMAIN IN AGREEMENT WITH THE RESPONSIBLE DOMAIN/DEPARTMENT ARCHITECT
- Co-ordinates project activities in respect to necessary work products related to the System Specification/SAD and the Risk Profile
- Acts as technical representation, advisor and contact point for a project
- Cooperates closely with the Domain Architect and with the IT Application Owner
- Ensure adequate sounding of the solution options and proposals with architectural stakeholders

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

- RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A REGULATORY REPORTING SOLUTION, INCLUDING INTERFACES TO THE SURROUNDING SYSTEMS
- Responsible for content and quality of the System Specification/SAD
- Responsible for the adherence to architectural standards and development policies
- Coordinates activities in respect to necessary solution engineering work products and support ITPL in definition and planning of work packages
- Acts as technical representation, advisor and contact point for stakeholders and suppliers
- Makes sure architecture decisions are properly documented & communicated
- Stays in close collaboration with the solution architects of the involved applications
- Assures arch. project obligations are solved in time and never get overdue. Prebrief PRB reviewers in order to limit number of obligations or even prevent any obligations
- Supports Test Manager and ITPL in the test conception and test phase
