Solution Architect - Global Technology Company

Our client is a Global Technology Company with operations across Ireland. They are currently seeking experienced SOLUTION ARCHITECT to join their team on a contract basis. The solution architect works with Business unit intelligence requirements refining them to agile Datawarehouse design and analytic presentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Keeps current with industry trends and latest thinking in order to provide sound and innovative solutions; learning algorithms, hadoop, vertica etc.
- Design new, and maintain existing logical and physical data models for components of Enterprise Datawarehouse (EDW), including Dimensional models.
- Design, implement, and optimize OLAP cubes.
- Design and implement BI reports, dashboards etc
- Work with Development and Business team members to build appropriate data views and architecture.
- Provide Datawarehouse Project Leadership and transform business requirements into long-term Data Architecture solutions.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

- A desire to become an SME on big data, data warehousing and data analytics.
- Proven track record ramping up and leading initiatives on new industry standards, paradigms and technology.
- > 6 years' experience in an enterprise software development environment
- Strong analysis skills focus. Must excel at connecting data to business information.
- Experience in at least one of the following domains
- Customer Intelligence
- Database expertise in an OLTP environment.
- Product Development
- Business Process Optimization
- Expert knowledge of Datamodelling
- Expert use of SQL and experience with relational databases
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (eg, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology).
- Three years as a Solution Architect/Lead Developer with experience in all phases of the software development cycle with experience in Datawarehouse solutions would be advantageous.
